Campus placement for company secretary members and students at CCGRT

Campus Placement The Placement Cell of the ICSI is organizing a Campus Placement  for the  fresher members for job and for students for  15 Months Training on Tuesday, the 30th August 2011 at 10.00 A.M. at ICSI-CCGRT, Plot NO.101, Sector-15, Institutional Area, CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai- 400614. Members enrolled on or after 1st June 2011  and  Executive /Professional pass students who has yet to commence training are eligible to participate in the event. Members may forward their CV in word format mentioning their ACS No in the subject line of the email to: member.ccgrt@yahoo.com Students may forward their CV in word format mentioning   their Registration No in the subject line of the email to :                 student.ccgrt@yahoo.com   CVs received up to 23rd  August 2011 will be considered for the Campus Placement.  The CVs will be forwarded to the companies participating in the Campus Placement for shortlisting and only the shortlisted candidates will be called for interview at Campus Placement.

Increase in Trainee under company secretary in practice

The Council at its 201^st meeting held on 23^rd-24^th June, 2011, in supersession of its earlier decision which was notified in October, 2008 issue of Chartered Secretary, has decided that with effect from                 24^th June, 2011, for the purpose of clause (c) of Regulation 48 of the Company Secretaries Regulations, 1982, the number of trainees to be sponsored by the Company Secretary in Practice (PCS) including a partner in a firm of Company Secretaries, will be equal to the number of years of continuous practice of the concerned member subject to a maximum of twenty trainees. 

A PCS with two years of continuous practice will be entitled to engage only one trainee.

If the PCS surrenders his certificate of practice and starts his practice after a gap, he will be entitled to have the same number of trainees as he was entitled when he surrendered his certificate of practice.
